Newspaper racks

I spent my entire morning putting together racks and distributing newspapers. Great fun. One of the racks fell off a table leaving and leaving a gash on my arm. So, next time anyone picks up a paper, just remember, it wasn't without sacrifice.

But, please do pick up a paper and feel free to tell me what you really think of it, however if you want to say it sucks (feel free to do so) just give me a reason why so we can improve.

THe last issue had nothing that was important to me.

In addition, it was so damn glowing. It felt more like porpaganda than any kind of news.

For instance, a couple of nights ago, when I was coming home to the dorm late at night, one of my RAs told me to clo0se my windows and pull down the blinds. when asked why, I was tolkd I didn't need to know any more than it was for security reasons.

WHy can't the paperws find out bout things like that, and the reasons for them?

Lindenwood keeps many secrets from the people, most of the information spreading by rumor.

A student run paper has the opportunity to bring actual nes to the people, but you are blowing it.

I understand your concern for a more hard news based paper; however in the early stages it's important to build good will with the school until we can support the newspaper with our own advertising.
In a private university it's much harder to write controversial stories and get away with it. When I wrote controversial stories at Flo Valley (publicly funded) they threatened to cut our funding. They even took my scholarship away once, which I fought and won back later. Anyway, be patient, in the future (I hope) we will have an editorial page for the students.
